I think we need to purchase that stuff by the gallon. After Austin got over his fever and red ears Brett got a bad cold. Then Austin kept a cough for about a week then started running fever. We took him in to the Er and they said it was an ear infection. Yesterday Brett caught a stomach bug along with alot of the family. Austin had a much better night last night and I am hoping he is going to start feeling better. I am also proud to announce that his first tooth has almost broken through. He has had such a rough time with this. Austin really hasn't felt good the entire time we have been in MS. I am hoping that we are on the road to recovery.
John made it back home this past Thursday and we were so glad to have him back. I missed him so much while he was gone. We have been fortunate in that we haven't had to be apart in a LONG time so it was strange when I had to take him to the airport. It felt so good to get a hug from my hubby when he got off the plane. Brett was beyond excited to see his daddy. He stuck to him like glue for the first couple days. It was sooo sweet.I
In the midst of all the sickness we are busy getting ready for Christmas. I am so excited for the boys. I love this time of year and am so glad that we get to share it with all of our family. God has really blessed us. I hear Austin playing in his bed so I guess I should go get him. He just woke up for the day. Hoping for a healthier day!

Bread
Just had to share this... After the lady who is packing our stuff packed our kitchen I realized that she packed our bread box... bread and all! Now, I just don't understand this. She is a mom and a grandmother herself so she should know that the bread isn't surviving the move. So I have a nice blue box to look forward to when we get to Hawaii. She even made the comment.. I would pack your chips that are open but I don't think they would do well in the move. DUH!!!! Gotta love it!!

Let the Craziness Begin!!!!
The week is finally here!!! Our movers get here Wednesday!!! ACK!!!!! I have to start loading our suitcases which means that the dogs will start their normal moping like they do everytime they see a suitcase. Thankfully I am all caught up on my laundry (mark this date down in history) so I just have to keep up with it and wash up last minute blankets or anything that I want to get a good cleaning before being packed for 2-3 months. There are many errands to be run and a few phone calls to make... but either way this week is our last week in our house. Kinda sad about this kinda excited. Thankfully, John will be able to come home and be here while the movers are packing us so that I can have help with the kids and be able to get some of the errands done. Our pre move out inspection is this morning so I am sitting here enjoying a nice cup of coffee... Austin is fussing beside me which means I better get up and get to it. Let the chaos begin!!! :)

Austin Laughing
Today I was going through a box in my bedroom in preparation for the move. Austin was my little side kick while Brett was playing on the nick jr. website. As I started ripping up papers that we no longer needed, Austin started laughing.. He laughed so hard he fell over at one point( and no I didn't get that part on video :(. I have never heard the child laugh that hard.. He had me rolling! He was in such a good mood. Probably the best mood he has been in weeks. He has had a rough week between teething and the croup so it was nice to see him in such a GREAT mood. Love my little guy.

Time
Lately it seems that time is really flying by. I guess it started once I had Austin..I mean where did this year go?! It seems that we should still be in summer but we are thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas now. Can't believe it is time for all of that! Austin is over half way to ONE already!!! That just shocks the pants right off me! Well, not really but you know what I mean. :P And in the past couple weeks time has started moving at a warp speed!!!! I was thinking that today was Tuesday and then it hit me no this is THursday. The end of the last full week in this house!!! I cant' believe it is time to move! I am so excited to be going home for a while and so excited for our family to get some time with the boys. It is also kinda sad to say goodbye to a place that has left us with so many memories. WAY to many to mention. Brett was in a crib when we moved here and now he is in preschool and can carry on a decent conversation. We also have another little one now in a crib. CRAZY!!!!! I can think of some really fun times that we had here. Like Brett really learning how to talk. Finding out we were pregnant with Austin, Bringing Austin home from the hospital, Birthdays, holidays when we had to live with Caitlin and ALex while we were waiting on base housing... Now there was some adventures there LOL. And then there was DEb and my Ikea trips.. those were fun. Hanging out with Jess on cold winter afternoons while the boys played... target trips with Dana.. target trips with Deb.... coffee nights with Angie...popping over to Deb's house for a chat...Going to Friendly's with Deb and the kids quiet nights at home with my boys. I could go on and on. There is so many good memories that I am taking with me as I go. I know I sound like a sap but I can't help it. It is almost like our lives are lived in 3 year increments. You change and grow so much during each duty station. It is so weird to think of what things were like when you moved here and how they are now. We have been very blessed while we were here. We have alot of great memories and have made some awesome friends! I am excited for our next adventure but I know that there are gonna be times when I REALLY miss this place and all of the friends we made here. I guess the one word that sums it up is BITTERSWEET.

Happy Halloween
So this post is a little late as well, but like i said we have been a tad busy. We spent Halloween hanging out at home. Austin was teething and had a runny nose. He was very fussy. John and I started packing for our big move and then Brett and I baked Halloween cupcakes. That evening we all went trick or treating. Brett had a BLAST!!! He kept saying " OH they have lights on!! Lets go!" He was SOOOO into it this year! I loved it! He did ask to go to Ms. Deb's but I had to tell him that they had moved already.I think he thought that we would go trick or treating with them like we did last year. He said he wanted to ride in the wagon . Thankfully once I told him they had moved he was ok with that. He couldn't see good with his mask on so he would raise it up so he could see while he was walking around. As soon as he got to another house he had to put his mask on as soon as he knocked. It was so cute. We hit every house that had lights on in our neighborhood. And the result was a HUGE bowl of candy that he dove into as soon as he got home. That night we wound up having to take Austin to Righttime Pediatrics b/c of croup. He was given a shot of steroids and more to take at home. That has made him EXTREEMLY fussy, but we are getting through it. Just thank God he is ok. So here are a few pics of our War Machine and Dinosaur trick or treating.
Happy 7 months Austin
I am a little late putting this up. We have been slightly busy getting ready for this move and Austin has been sick. Yeah, been a little crazy. But anyway.... our little guy turned 7 months on the 29th of Oct. He is 21 lbs now and is just so darn cute if i do say so myself. Love you Chunky Monkey!!!

Raspberries
So just had to share... My little Austin started trying to blow raspberries yesterday. This has to be one of the cutest things I have EVER seen. I do not have a pic or video of it yet.. but I am going to work on that.
My little Brett Brett made me feel so um LARGE the other night. I was getting ready to lay down beside Brett to read him his bedtime story. And he tells me that I don't need to lay down in his bed because the bed it little and I am to big and I might break it. Gotta love how kids will say just what is on their little minds. As I am getting ready to go down stairs I am kissing those sweet little cheeks and I tell him that "I love you all the way to the moon" and his reply "I love you all the way to the moon to... but get up." Gotta Love it!!!

Visit to the Pumpkin Patch
Today we went to the pumpkin patch with our good friends Angie and Aaron. We had fun but boy there is a story which I will share with you all. First of all.. I forgot the stroller!!!!! All parents will understand why this is a bad thing. I carried the 21lb baby around ALL DAY LONG! He was great but boy he ain't light!! Anyway we walk up to the festival and go to get some food since we are all starving. Well, the place we went to only accepted cash or check. I didn't have cash so i wrote a check while holding Austin. The lady at the counter was so nice.. She understood that I wasn't going to be able to get my tray to the table so she asked her son who was maybe 10 to help me out which he so graciously did. Angie and Aaron had went ahead to grab us a picnic table since this place was VERY busy. Well, let me just say that Butler's Orchard will put picnic tables ANYWHERE... even on the side of a hill!!! Yes we were sitting on the slope. There were some people we were sharing the table with and they were sitting on the upper part of the sloped table. The guy sitting beside me had a big opened bottle of pepsi. The table was bumped and down came the pepsi, spilling onto my pumkin pie. He apologized but I knew it was totally an accident. I mean come on we are on a damn hill!!! Austin is sitting in my lap at this time and is playing int he ketchup lol and Brett is throwing a fit. And the bees....oh the bees LOVED us!!! Maybe cause we are so sweet... (I'm just throwing that possibility out there). But you know what I ate that damn pie and it was good! A little carbonated but good. LOL! So after we ate we let the kids jump in the hay and bounce houses then we let them go down this very cool slide which I also went down and LOVED! That was sooo much fun! We then went to pick our pumpkins. Angie and Aaron went to the other side of the patch because they were in search of smaller pumpkins but I found a couple of good ones in the front so we just stayed put. Well, Brett decided he needed to pee and was VERY loud about it. I told him he would just have to hold it and once we had paid for our pumpkins then we could find a place. So he calmed down... then came the business of getting in line with the two big pumpkins. Now keep in mind that I have a camera around my neck ( gotta get those pics), Austin on my hip and two pumpkins to carry. Needless to say i didnt' carry them...I kicked them all the way to the line until Angie and Aaron caught back up with us and were able to help.As I am standing in line Austin starts fussing and gets louder and louder. And we are still kicking the pumpkins along. I then feel something warm on my arm and look down to see that Austin has puked on me. GREAT!!!! When it is our turn to check out the guy gave me the total and mentioned that he needed to see my license if I was writing a check and the look i gave him must have been a look of death cause he said you know what don't worry about it and then he only charged me $2.75 for both pumpkins. I asked him twice how much they were and both times he said that. We then loaded up in the car and drove home. Now Brett rode with Angie and Aaron in her car. And apparently Brett failed to mention to angie, as did I, (cause i forgot) that he had to pee. Well, they beat me to the house and by that point he couldn't hold it and peed on Angie. SO SORRY!!! If you are like me you are laughing about all of this. While it was stressful at the time, now looking back, it is pretty funny. And the kids had a good time and that is what is most important. Here are some pics of our day! Happy FALL!

Happy Birthday Brett!
In just a little bit it will be October 13, 2010. Four years ago from this day John and I became parents for the first time. The pregnancy was definitely a rough one but we got through it and thankfully you weren't born early like the doctors feared. You were born at 9:16PM on a Friday night. I never will forget the first time I saw that sweet angel face. There aren't words for how amazing that felt. It seems like the past four years have flown by so fast! Life has a way of doing that I guess. Brett is such a wonderful, sweet, bright, and loving child. I feel so blessed to be his mom. Happy Birthday my Brett Brett! Mommy and Daddy and Austin love you so very
much!!! xoxoxoxo

Busy Busy Busy
Wow, we are some busy folks! I have been looking at my planner this morning thinking how in the world are we going to get all of this done? LOL we are getting ready for a big move to Hawaii for 3 years!! So we all have doctors appointments out the ying yang and there is sooooo much to sort through before the movers arrive in 4 weeks!! I am excited about our move but I am nervous a little bit. This will be a big move so far away. I think the boys will love it though and I am sure we will all have a good time!! The island is supposed to be beautiful!
We have been here for 3 years now and soooo much has happened in that time. We have moved twice and absolutely love the house we are in now. Our neighbors at our old house turned out to be some of the best friends that we have. I think of Deb as my sister and love her kids to death. Oh and I like Larry too. LOL!!! Deb actually stayed at the hospital with me all night along with our family while we were waitng for John Austin's arrival. They are some great people. And even though we wont be neighbors anymore, they are in my heart. I know we will see each other again. :)
That is another thing that happened here. We added another member to our family. John Austin is such an angel and a great addition to our little family! We are so blessed with happy healthy boys.
Brett was just a little toddler when we first moved here and now he is in school. He will be 4 tomorrow. So alot has changed since we first moved here. And I am sure alot more will change in the next 3 years as well! I look forward to what is to come.

My turn!
About a week ago I posted about John's baby food fiasco. Well, Friday it was my turn. I had Austin sitting in his Bumbo(That thing has been a life saver) and was feeding him sweet potatoes. As I went to give him a bite he head butted the spoon and this was the result.
However, I did NOT get any on me or the ceiling!!!
Patience for the win! :)

John vs. baby food.
So my sweet hubby has been telling me that he is not any good at feeding baby food to the little ones. Well, I have been telling him that is absurd and that he would do just fine. So tonight I was busy fixing waffles and asked John if he would just please feed him for me so I could finish supper.Austin's dinner was carrots and pears. He said he would try and started on the carrots. Well, I am busy making waffles ( yes we had night breakfast.) and I hear a clang. I turn around and i see john facing me. His face is covered in carrots. They are up his nose(LMAO)and down his shirt and down his shorts. The carrots were also all over the counter, the floor, and straight up on the ceiling. LMAO!!! He held the jar of food too close and Austin apparently reached forward and slapped the jar out of his hand. I can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as I did tonight. And yes I took a picture. So John lost the battle with the baby food and I still have carrots on my ceiling.

Happy Birthday Honey!
September 23rd was my hubby's 30th birthday. And while I know that he is not happy about hitting 30 I however am not bothered by it at all. He is still the wonderful man that I fell in love with 6 years ago. He is still the man that gave me these two wonderful boys, and he is still the man that I am madly attracted to. He is a great husband, friend, lover, and father! What more could a girl ask for. Love you babe!

First Day of School!
So this morning both boys were still asleep at 7:15! Of course the morning that we actually had to get up they decided to sleep in. Brett had to be at school at 8 so I hurried and got him so breakfast ready. We then brushed teeth, got dressed, oh and just remembered we missed the potty when we peed ( gotta go clean that.) I fixed his hair got is back pack ready and out the door we went. I then remembered I HAVE to get a picture of him. So I got my camera out and of course the battery was dead. So had to let that charge long enough for me to get a good pic then we hurried to school. He was so excited and barely looked up to tell me bye. He is going to LOVE going to school! I can't believe my baby is in school now! Time flies by so fast!!! I think I will get him a happy meal on the way home. He will probably like that. :)

Just thinking...
Now my hubby would say to my title "Don't hurt yourself!" LOL He is just so sweet I tell ya! Anyhoo. Brett is getting ready to start preschool in the next week or so. My baby boy will be going to school 5 days a week for about 3 hours everyday. That totally ends him being at home with me every day all day! And while I am excited for him and know he will LOVE it. And hey lets face it I will enjoy some time with Austin and the little break. Although, I am kinda sad b/c it means that my baby boy isn't a baby anymore. He is starting a new phase in his life towards growing up. Next month he will be turning 4! It seems like yesterday that we were bringing home from the hospital. Time sure does have a way of flying by.
And then along came Austin. He is my precious baby boy, he is our last baby. He is so sweet and just full of energy and smiles. I love this angel so much. He was a very (cant' stress that word enough) difficult baby in the beginning. But we got through all that and now he is such a joy. He fills my days with lots of cooing and smiles. He is rolling all over the place and is starting to reach for who he wants. :) I am so happy that he is out of the difficult stage but a part of me is sad because I know this is my last baby. This will be the last time I will hold a precious baby of my own in my arms. I am happy and excited and proud of him with every new thing that he learns to do but I am trying to enjoy every minute of it b/c it will be the last time I experience it with my baby. They grow up so fast. I am just so thankful that I get to be the mommy to these two incredible boys. I love them more than words can say. Brett tells me that " I love you all the way around the world, and to the sky and moon." I guess that pretty much sums it up :)

DC Zoo
So we decided last minute to go to the zoo today! We were all excited and quickly packed everything essential for a day at the zoo. After getting everyone loaded into the car we headed out using the GPS on John's IPhone. We have never had any trouble using that before. Well, today apparently it was in a bad mood. We took an unexpected 2 hour tour of DC! IT was GREAT!!!!! Brett asked plenty of times "ARe we there yet?" When we finally got to the zoo Brett says I am so glad to see the zoo. LOL WE ALL WERE!!!! We then loaded up the stroller and walked the zoo. Brett spilled snow cone all over his pants and it looked like he peed his pants. He was acting silly jumping and waddling around which got Austin to laughing so hard which in turn got John and I laughing as well. I am sure we looked pretty funny. Brett said he had a great day and Austin never had a melt down so all in all it was a good day! Both boys fell asleep on the way home. Always a good sign they have had ALOT of fun. It was so nice to do something like that as a family even though we got to see more of DC than planned. Here are a few pictures.

Happy 4 Months Austin!
Wow, it seems like yesterday that I was posting about Austin turning three months! Time sure does have a way of flying by doesn't it?! This month Austin started rolling over and has it mastered now. He has also started baby jibberish! It is sooo cute! He has the funniest little laugh and is VERY smiley! I would definitely say we have settled in to having two babies now. It definitely has taken some getting used to but all well worth it when you hear you kids laugh and play together! Here is a pic from last month and then a pic from today! Happy 4 months Austin! Mommy, Daddy, and Brett love you very much!

Eating Solids!!
So yesterday I decided to go ahead and give Austin some baby oatmeal cereal! At first he gave me this horrid look like what did you just put into my mouth. LOL But then he started chowing down and did really well with it! He seems to like it pretty good too! I also purchased a Bumbo seat for him yesterday which helps him to sit up. He seems to like that ok as well. So yesterday was a big day for our little guy! He is getting sooo big! Love him:)

Walk Down Memory Lane
So I was looking at my Myspace account which I hardly ever log into anymore and I found some videos of Brett when he was about 18 months or so. He has grown up soooo much since then( and yes I know kids have a way of doing that). I had forgotten some of the little things he would say at that age and watching those videos flooded me with memories of when our little Brett Brett spoke nothing but "{baby chinese". Or when he would say "want down, want down" for everything!!! Even when he wanted up for you to hold him..LOL He had the chubbiest little cheeks and they would bounce when he would run... which was all the time. He NEVER walked.... that took too long...LOL. I just cant believe how much he has changed and how fast it has all been! I get so busy in the day to day that I don't stop and realize how fast these boys are changing every day! Austin is already getting ready to teethe! It seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. Seeing those videos made me think that maybe I should slow down a little and take the time to enjoy all those fleeting precious moments that happen every day! Before we know it they will be all grown up! Seeing that video just made me wish we could keep our babies small just a little bit longer.

Happy 4th of July!
So today was our nation's birthday. I was trying to explain this to Brett this morning as we were eating breakfast and he just couldn't wrap his little brain around that fact. I said well you know all of the outside... it is the outside's birthday and he says.. well what about the inside..LOL. Gotta love him. So I bought the boys matching shirts for today..it was the first time they had dressed alike. I must say they looked absolutely ADORABLE!!!! We went to church and after the boys napped Brett rode his Jeep around the neighborhood. He LOVES that thing. He had to give Chloe a ride... that was so cute! John grilled some steaks that were yummy. THank you, baby! Deb and Larry were nice enough to let Brett play in their pool so Deb and I sat out there and drank some wine while the kids played. Then we watched the fireworks and Brett did some sparklers. NOw both boys are in bed and I am relaxing with yet another glass of wine. I hope everyone had a great 4th and didnt' forget what today was really about... celebrating our nations birthday and remembering all the sacrifices that were made and that are being made so we can live freely in this country. Thank you baby for all that you do. I hope everyone had a great day!

Happy 3 months, Austin!
Today Austin is 3 months old!!! I can't believe how fast time is going!! Seems like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital and now he is a 15 lb. chunky monkey. He is smiling so much now and is also giggling alot more. It is sooooo adorable. He has definitely been a VERY CRANKY baby at times, but he is also sweet and we are blessed to have him. Here are a couple pictures.. the first is of him in the hospital and the second is one I took this morning! Happy 3 months little man! We love you!

Austin's Room
I can't believe I finally did it!!!! I finally decorated Austin's room. THis was done at our old house but I have been procrastinating and doing other stuff since we moved into our new house. Today, however, I finally got it done. I hung letters above his bed, spray painted the shelf and hung it, hung some art work, and hung the animals on the wall. So glad to finally get that done. As you can tell it is an animal theme.
Tomorrow Austin will be 3 months old!!! I can't believe it!!! Time is flying by so fast! He is already 15 lbs... and is growing like a weed! My little monkey boy!!!
